Paulin Precision Altimeter Added
A rare Paulin SA-2 “Engineer” altimeter by C.E. Johansson has joined the collection, together with a new history of its Swedish manufacturer.
A Paulin Precision Altimeter, model SA-2 “Engineer”, manufactured by C.E. Johansson of Eskilstuna, Sweden, around 1926–1928, has been added to the collection. Designed according to Josua Gabriel Paulin’s distinctive zero-gauging system, the instrument was intended for precise surveying, engineering and barometric levelling work.
The website has also been expanded with the history of C.E. Johansson, the important Eskilstuna precision-engineering company best known internationally for its work in dimensional metrology and precision gauge blocks, but which also manufactured Paulin System instruments.
