We are pleased to announce the completion of a comprehensive redesign of the Barometers Realm website. Every aspect of the platform has been rethought to provide a cleaner appearance, improved navigation, and a more enjoyable browsing experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Among the most significant additions are three entirely new sections. The Essays section brings together original articles exploring the history, science, and cultural significance of meteorological instruments. The new Ephemera archive is dedicated to historical catalogues, brochures, manuals, advertisements, patents, and other rare printed materials that document the development of instrument makers and their products. A new Shop has also been introduced, offering books, educational materials, collectibles, and merchandise, with all proceeds directly supporting the preservation work of The Art of Weather Instruments Foundation.
Collection pages have likewise been extensively redesigned. In addition to the familiar image thumbnails, every photograph can now be opened in a full-screen interactive gallery, allowing visitors to browse images in a convenient carousel and examine even the finest details using high-resolution zoom. This makes it possible to study dial engravings, movement construction, maker’s signatures, and restoration details with unprecedented clarity.
