Fuess Station Barograph Added to the Collection
A professional R. Fuess station barograph with an unusual oil-damping system has joined the collection.
The collection has been expanded with an R. Fuess station barograph, manufactured in Berlin-Steglitz and based on the company’s No. 78a Normal Barograph design.
The instrument features a highly sensitive stack of nine beryllium-bronze aneroid capsules, temperature-compensated transmission, a clock-driven recording drum, and a particularly interesting oil dashpot designed to suppress short-term mechanical disturbances and unwanted oscillations of the recording system.
