Stiffel

The Stiffel Company was founded in 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, by Ted Stiffel, a talented craftsman with a background in fine arts. His unique approach enabled the creation of lamps that combined innovative design with high-quality craftsmanship.

During World War II, the company contributed to the war effort by manufacturing bolts for anti-aircraft guns and other essential components. After the war, Stiffel resumed the production of high-quality metal lamps, continuing to introduce innovations such as the patented Stiffel switch and torchiere lamp. However, the company also produced combined pieces that integrated lamps with barometers and clocks.

Today, the company is located in Linden, New Jersey, where it operates a 40,000-square-foot facility, continuing to produce lamps renowned for their precise craftsmanship and elegant design. Stiffel’s products are available in various categories, including table lamps, floor lamps, and ceiling lights.
