J.H. Steward

J.H. Steward was a British company founded by James Henry Steward in 1852 in London. The company specialized in the production and sale of various scientific and optical instruments, including barometers, compasses, telescopes, and other meteorological tools.

In 1885, J.H. Steward published the “New Catalogue of Meteorological Instruments,” featuring various models of barometers and related equipment. In 1899, the company released an updated catalog showcasing a wide range of meteorological devices.

In February 1913, the company was incorporated as J.H. Steward Limited and continued its operations until 1975. Throughout its history, J.H. Steward was known for the high quality of its products, serving both civilian and military clients with precise and reliable instruments for various purposes.
